Farm and Home Appliance, Furniture & Mattress is seeking a talented, customer-focused Furniture Sales Professional to join our growing team. We’re looking for someone with a passion for design, a deep understanding of custom furniture, and a drive to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

As a Custom Furniture Sales Professional, you’ll work one-on-one with customers to bring their vision to life — from choosing styles, fabrics, and finishes to finalizing custom orders with our premium brands like Smith Brothers, and Mavin. You’ll also assist with showroom presentation, product knowledge training, and maintaining high visual standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to identify their needs and guide them through the custom design process

  • Present furniture and upholstery options with confidence and professionalism

  • Write up and manage custom orders accurately and efficiently

  • Build long-term relationships with repeat customers through outstanding service

  • Perform consistent sales follow-up tasks, including:

    • Following up on quotes and design proposals

    • Contacting customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction

    • Maintaining a pipeline of leads and tracking open opportunities

    • Sending thank-you notes and personalized check-ins to past customers

    • Proactively reaching out about new collections or promotions

  • Maintain current knowledge of product lines, trends, and lead times

  • Collaborate with the store manager and design team on displays and showroom layouts

  • Achieve and exceed personal and store sales goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture sales, interior design, or related field

  • Strong knowledge of custom furniture brands and construction details

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects

  • Comfortable working with design tools and order systems

  • Positive attitude and a team-player mindset
